Evan has been working with companies and government departments doing data analysis and software design for the last 10 years. He has also been teaching for over 6 years, at the University of New South Wales, and later for private industry and government. He is a strong advocate of Open Source software, but acknowledges that a more important philosophy is 'the right tool for the right job'.

Evan has been involved with data warehousing research and development, and his personal focus areas includes:

  • Data analysis
  • Database development
  • Software and systems design
  • Free and Open Source Software (FOSS)
  • Artificial intelligence as relating to data analysis
  • Web based human computer interaction (inc AJAX)

    Evan is a graduate from the University of New South Wales in Sydney Australia. He has been a regular speaker at several universities and conferences including the Open Source Developers Conference, and has published several articles on Data Warehousing.
